So its February. A while ago I quit my job to start my own business. I'm working like a dog but I love it! I feel totally satisfied.
I LOVE this song right now, its so powerful
trying to play it on my ukulele is fun, the chords aren't too hard
and I love SIA's music a lot too right now, especially love her croaky voice in this video... Brody Dalle seems to have permanently croaked up her voice, what do you think? did she break it with all the whiskey and cigarettes?
im kinda thinking about getting singing lessons. i could do an hour a week, its £25 at the cheapest round here. but my savings need to get my biz going... but i should also live and enjoy life and have hobbies... i dont wanna focus solely on work and end up miserable... i really enjoy singing, and i really wanna expand my range. i dont know much about singing, i only know that sometimes i'll love a song but a note here and there will be too high or too low, and i know you can work on that. i just love singing pop songs with my ukulele, its the most calming activity i can think of.
i made a motivational poster for my year. LOL! the cynic in me is mocking myself. but i also fucking love it! so fuck my inner cynic.
2015 is my freakin year!
actually that photo isnt good enough to do it justice, it has fucktonnes of glitter. i should have made it in january but i didnt think of it then. im hoping seeing it everyday is gonna continue to spur me on. but im kind of unstoppable.
i miss game of thrones so much, but as a stopgap, ive been REALLY enjoying house of cards. i love the plotting! kevin spacey is a kick ass actor. actually all the plotting was something i especially liked about GoT. its kinda weird to me. i dont understand people enough to be able to do it, so when you see actors doing it, its amazing, its like magic. kevin spacey has this little speech in the 2nd or 3rd episode (always breaking the 4th wall) where he talks about how money is like a McMansion that will wither and break down and power is a brick building that will stand forever. i dont get people who are obsessed with power. but theyre fun to watch!
my friends kinda acidentally tricked my housemate into getting Netflix* (finally!!!) so i was looking for good TV. Black Mirror is AMAZING (how did i miss seeing this before?! its SO dark, and sci-fi-esque, love it) and i enjoyed Archer (bit like Venture Brothers). What other shows should i check out? TV is by the way STRICTLY for evenings! i gotta hustle in the day. ;)
* I think he meant to cancel it after the month was up but he's forgotten already, woohoo!!!
