la/san diego jan 22 - 24
new orleans feb 5 weekend
new jersey late feb - early mar
southeast tour mid-apr
northwest tour summer
southwest tour ??
uk/europe august??
maine/ne ??
chicago back and forth constantly

california has been a blast
it was a bit of a long trip
first train
then plane
then another plane
and i was sick
so that sucked

but one great night/day
of partying my ass off
seems to have cured me
mostly just a cough left now

sat night
i was at a birthday party
for a friend/client
it was in downtown la
which was really weird
'cuz downtown la is dead at night
and i mean dead dead
which is fitting i suppose
it's almost like a huge movie set
and there is all this activity in the day
then everyone goes home
and it is just a shell of a ghosttown
but this party was great
started slow
then picked up nicely
as people made their entrances
fashionably late of course
met a bunch of new people
which is alwyas fun
and heard many good stories
which is even better

so
i didn't get back to my friend's place
all the way out in yorba linda
until almost 4 in the am
and i was to meet ponette
down in san diego
at 10:30
ouch
but i managed to get up
and make good time
and did get there at 10:30
and i was *so* glad that i did
because she is just fantastic
we walked along the beach
got some brunch at a cafe
and walked some more
we talked for almost 4 hours
pretty much non-stop
she is easily
one of the coolest people i've met

and now i am back in yorba linda
relaxing
maybe take a nap
then go out to dinner

i fly back monday night
traveling back to iowa on tuesday
not a bad weekend

hope you all
are having as much fun
though i doubt it
