i fully indend to do
as much travelling as possible this year

here is where i will be going
and the timeframe
if i know it -
kc/lawrence new year's eve
la/san diego mid-late jan
new jersey mid feb - early mar
daytona/florida mid apr (nc/sc on the way?)
seattle/nw ??
new orleans ??
maine/ne ??
chicago back and forth constantly

if you live in any of these places
and/or vaguely between them and iowa
and you think you might sort of
like to hang out with me
and talk in person
over a beverage/meal of your choosing
then just let me know
and i'll pencil you in

so
i've been back and forth to chicago
two times in the past week
to juggle all my holiday commitments
oi
here are random events/observations
in a somewhat chronilogical order -
drove up to chicago with my daughter
hung out with the family
went to the zoo
went to a club with friends
tried to pick up a chick
found out she was married
shot pool until 0430 in the am
went to church *shrug*
saw my grandmothers
went downtown to see the windows
ate at the berghoff
saw that picasso thing
and all that new millenium park jazz
drove home with my best friend along
worked at night
got very little sleep in the day
shot more pool at the bars
and got good and drunk
ate street gyros at 0230
friend drove back to chicago
while i slept it off
woke up in the 'burbs
christmas eve with my mom's family
got some way cool stuff
slept a little
drove back to ic at midnight
slept a little more
christmas morning with my daughter
then spent 4 hours of christmas
with a friend in section 8 housing
couldn't stop thinking what an easy life i have
played chess while waiting for a connection
lost at chess
came home
typed this

and there you have it
the last week of my life
as noted in the schedule
i will be headed to kc/lawrence ks
for a new year's eve bash
so
if any of you kc/lawrence peeps
wants to hang
let me know
should be a good time
