so
yesterday
was the day
when i finally realized
that i did the right thing

a big part
of what finally came between
my ex and i
was that i had a new friend
a new female friend
but we were *only* friends
and she was one of the only people
that i really felt i connected with
and it showed me a lot of what
i was missing from my marriage

anyway
i am still friends with this girl
and yesterday i hung out with her
just kicked around at the mall
but i realized during our conversation
that we really did know each other
and she is now one of my best friends
and that just made me feel
like it was really ok
that i am getting divorced
because
one real true friend
is so much better
than a shitty sham of a marriage

oh
and for those of you wondering
the seperation was amicable
my astranged wife feels exactly the same way
that we are better off apart
so no worries for her
especially since
i still pay for her living expenses
