I think, some people find depression, comfortable. They know it, they know what to expect from it. They know it will never let them down, because there is no up. Its safe for them.
I think, some people are proud of their depression. They show it off as often as they can. They wave it in your face while telling you how horrible it is, but still they cling to it.
I think, some people use depression as a kind of security blanket. They can wrap it around themselves to keep the fear away. The fear of the uncertainty, of moving on to the next stages of their lives, of facing the possibility of happiness.
I wonder how many of these people really know what theyre depressed about.
I think, some people should really try to be happy for a change. Life really isnt so bad if you let yourself live it. There are a lot of people in the world who are worse off. If you really need to be depressed, be depressed for them, and then do something about it.
