Are Americans, in general, racist? Since assuming citizenship in this country I've learned some disturbing facts about it's people.

I'm not sure how it's possible, but I asked an extremely attractive, extremely intelligent, and extremely nice girl out and she agreed to go with me. Well, I may be exaggerating a bit about the whole asking process, but we are going out...this is a new trick for me biggrin

Here's a funny thing, according to many of my teachers and a few of my classmates I am a good speaker, one of my friends told me that I have[/i} to become a lawyer because I'm such a good speaker, and yet I hardly ever say anything to people, and when I speak up in classes, it's generally not the smartest thing out there? Don't...

When I grow up... I think I'm about as grown up as I'm ever going to get... so I guess I will be one of those grab bag things that you stick your hand into and never know what you're going to pull out of it.

For after graduation, I'm applying to work in the development program in the UN... kinda like the Peace Corp, but through the UN instead of the US. I don't know that I'll get in, but that's the closest thing to a real life job I'll ever want to do.

Otherwise, I'd rather be a musician, just like everyone that doesn't say they'd rather be a visual artist. What is it about art that drives a person so crazy when you aren't able to immerse yourself into it? It's worse than a boyfriend with good moves.

Glad to see you're writing.. mas y mas!

Last night I had to watch Godsend for a paper for a class... I'm pretty sure the teacher is in cahoots with with the film's distributor, 3 classes each with 20-30 people renting the film surely must have doubled or tripled the movies nationwide-rentals...

As long as I'm on the topic of school, I've been trying to get my paperwork done for a transfer out...

I'm still in school, but this is my last year, so I'm more than happy about that. School's been fun.. but I'm ready for the white light.

I agree with you.. there are so many people that have no qualms about running their mouths off and being dicks in the process... but at least it gives us all something to spout off about.

But yeah... it also bugs me when people do that same sort of thing with music. Like if you hear a band on the radio and like their song and someone else shoots back with a "Oh dude, I liked them WAY before they were POPULAR..." implying that the only reason why you like them is because they're in the mainstream, when actually you'd just never heard them before.

How's life in Coronado? Pretty quiet?

For the record, I used to keep regular journals online (not here, as it happens) but I realised that virtually all of what I had to say was self-indulgent and petty, so I stopped. I guess if I had something valuable to say, I would, but I don't. Was this ironic?...
clearlii:
yeah.. but I think.. how many other times in the day am I so self indulgent? except for the lemon poppyseed scones... I think I'm doing ok.

so.. update your journal. and be my friend.

Do you go to school in San Diego?

The terrible birthday is at last over! It's remarkable that a years worth of aging can be condensed into one heinous day; modern science isn't all good...

Holy shit, it's my birthday...that makes me special!

edit:

A disturbing four other people turned 22 on this site alone, I am the opposite of special, and life has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. Woe is me.

Is there any person on this site who doesn't consider Donnie Darko to be one of their favorite films?

I actually liked the movie, it's just that I just noticed that a significant number of people seem to have marked it as a favorite film...
hello_kitten:
Me. I didn't really care for it.
koenigsegg:
i fucking hated it.
