Fun times. The family is living in my appt. with me. They left New Orleans about 3 in the morning on Sunday and have been living here since they got here about 7 in the morning Sunday. We can't get back to see if there home had any damage until Monday. From what we can tell it looks like the neighborhood where they live didn't get any flooding and minor wind damage, so the looters are the only thing we have to worry about now. They came only with a box of family photos and late Sunday night while I was at work, hours before the hurricane hit land I got real sad. Other than that box of pictures all of my childhood is in that attic of theres. If the roof got torn off, or if they got flooded it's all gone. Everything my dad has worked so hard his whole life for would be gone. It looks like, as of now though that we were some of the lucky ones. And I know we are lucky because all of us are alive. So no matter how much my mom is getting on my nerves, I should just be glad that we are all alive.
