I have some sad news to report. Indy films are no longer fun for me to watch. I used to love independent films. But, tonight I watched Sideways and Lost In Translation for the first time. Waiting for 2 years on the latter, thinking they were gonna be so frigging great. I know they are not indy films per-say, but they were in the vein of indy films. They both were nothing that I thought they would be after reading and hearing all the hype. Fuck I watched Sideways first and was bored to tears. They only cool part for me came when Paul Giamatti said he couldn't kill himself because he was not famous. I shouted out loud what about Toole, then Thomas Haden Church said what about the guy that wrote Confederacy of Dunces. I just about fell off the couch. It was the only part of the whole movie I liked. I guess too many things reminded me of my divorce, which I would like to think that I am over. But still it's all sour grapes. And well Lost In Translation. I just couldn't get into it.
So, I tried taking peoples advice and talking to real people. That went over like a turd in a punch bowl. Anyone that didn't shoot me down from the word hello, was a complete cocksucking I will refrain from using anymore words here. I will just say that if they didn't shut me down from the word hello they were complete jerks. Yeah, so I think that if I don't wake up tomorrow, it would be a good thing. I wouldn't have to go to work, and I would not have to deal with this pathetic thing that is my so called life.
