I had the oddest urge today at work, to listen to Joy Division. so i went to virgin and purchased Substance, and came home. its been on all night.

so anyway, in the past week i crashed my scooter pritty bad. well i say I crashed it, but the Back wheel blew out when i hit something sharp some duche had left in the road (theres a 1" gash in the tyre). now on a normal bike this wouldnt be much of a problem, puncture, slow down, pull over, change tyre. on a bike with inner tubes its a bit worse. the back tube blew out and i felt the immidiat sinking feeling followed by the back of the bike trying to overtake the front. i pulled the clutch in, dropped the accelerator (sp?) and did my best to steer into the skid. it didnt work. the speed went down to about 35mph and the scoot dumped.
i have a few nasty grazes, my hand hurts, the scooter still runs but i cant bear to look at her in this state, i feel so guilty
anyway then i called of work and came home, to find a cat had pulled a bird into our garden and would have killed it had my dog not scared it off. i picked the bird up in a towel and held it waiting for it to die, it was obviousley in shock and there was blood in its beak. after about 15 minuits of holding it, it suddenly opened its eyes and kind of rolled over onto its back. i went and got some water and drip fed it, which washed the blood away, and left it on the towel, checking on it from time to time. after about an hour it flew into a tree and started singing. that made me feel better.
anyway, recording tommorow. im quite nervous. then i have to go from the studeo's, walk the dog then back out to my friends party (1960's theme) where i'll be DJing some northern soul and Mod tunes.
