i got "let go" today.
half an hour after i resigned!
dam i love temping.
also, they really need to like, be a little bit more blatently obvious when they dont want a temp to come back. here's a few do's and donts
DONT employ 2 temps, not have enough work for them
DONT ask the 2 temps supervisor to "come into your office and give you some advise with regards to interviews"
DONT then say to 1 temp (temp a) "Can you come and see me in my office for half an hour"
DONT then not ask the other temp (temp b) to come in
DO tell the agency that your letting one of your temps go
DONT say really loudly "Weve decided that *tempa* has got the job!!!" to the supervisor in the middle of the office
DONT look so shocked when, whilst giving the temp you didnt ask in for an interview the old "sorry but we wont need you back" talk, he says "actually i'm supprised the agency didnt call you, i rang them 2 hours ago and told them i didnt want to come back. i did agree to work tommorow as well, but seeing as you insist that you dont need me, Bye!"
DONT be supprised that i fucked up everything i did today. afterall how do you expect me to concentrate when i can blatently tell your dicking me around.
seriousley, im so glad they were blatent about it, most places just call up the agency and say they dont want you back, leading to the agency thinking your shit, im glad i got to ring the agency and say my side of things before they did.
