the ears can take a while to heal. all the oils from your hair/head get in there and make it messy. i have never heard of a piercing shop that says no bactine. i absolutely believe it is necessary (as does my piercer). it keeps it clean and has a numbing agent. i know neosporin is a bad thing because it's an ointment and can trap bacteria. i guess each person has their own regiment, no?
