I LOVE MARDI GRAS!!! It helps take my mind off of everything else. And this year, same as ever, I have waited til the very last minute to get a costume together. Any ideas?

it is still good days and bad days...my day to day life is roughly the same, but when I think about what we have lost, that is when it gets scary. and we only lost possibilities, not people or things...

I am so tired of waiting for things to get back to "normal", especially when there no end in sight. I know I would feel better if I tried to get out and meet some people (my friends are scattered around the country), but it seems like so much work. And I am not the most social creature in the best of times...

What part of New Orleans are you in? I have been working down by Chef Hwy since about 2 weeks after the hurricane. When we first got there it reminded me of war torn countries I went to when I was in the Army.

I get to go home in 3 weeks! I can't wait to get out of kissimmee, but i am already starting to worry about the way things are going to be at home. I am so not going to go through this again next year.
I wish I could be at home for halloween, though. I just don't even care about it here.

The quarter was really alive Saturday nite. People costuming, having fun, and the Bookfair went on at Barristers/Zeitgeist. I've been back two weeks, it finally felt a bit like the
ONO (old New Orleans)...

Happy Halloween!
