i have been a vegetarian for almost 15 years. so why do i all of a sudden really want to start eating fish? i don't even know if i'd like fish. but i have been craving it, and dreaming about it, and then i look at my little fishies swimming around in their tank and feel horrible. this is so strange.

I once knew a guy who was training to become some sort of Buddhist monk or something. He bragged to his teacher that he had managed ten years as a strict vegetarian. His teacher promptly took him to McDonalds and made him eat a hamburger. Maybe this craving is just a reminder to think back to the original reasons you decided to give up meat. Eat the fish and then reexamine the whole vegetarian thing. If you stick with it, you'll be reinvigorated. If you give it up or make some modifications, so be it. If you feel bad about eating fish just one time, you were veg. for the wrong reasons. If I sound harsh, too bad.

Yah, I get a craving for fish every once in a while and I too have been veg for about 16 years. I have this thing for ordering a nice big bowl of clam chowder... I don't know why, it just is. I just figure it means I am not getting enough protien in my diet and I'm indulging in a little fun self torture.

i make 700 a month, which pays my bills, and gives me enough extra to go out every now and then. the boy and i save up if we want to get something big-like, we just got an xbox. so no debt. and no worries.
