ok-tomorrow night (the 21st) i will be hanging out at lucky's on st. charles so i can sit on the porch and watch the parade if it rains. i will be there around 7ish. so you should be there too.
last night i threw a trivial pursuit party that quickly turned into a full blown orgy (it was helped along by many bottles of wine). yahoo, i had sex with 5 people!! and most of them managed to fit in our bed so we got morning snuggles and more sex
ohhh the pain of gin is so rarely worth it ..better to submit to vodka or rum.
i'm a bit belated on commenting on your kundera post, but indeed you've captured his spirit. I liked the book of laughter and forgetting ...I related to karl for a long time. I need to read it again to see who strikes me now. He showed me that there is joy to be found in dysfunction; that life's disappointments are an exact testament to the magic of experiencing life itself ...in sorrow there is the joy of experience.
I can't say I've been in your exact situation you describe above (interesting though it is) but I always wonder if I met my myself, would I recognize me? Since we are so acustomed to seeing ourselves in the mirror and not being ourselves, would our outward mannerisms, altered sound of our voice (what we hear is different due to our voice being mostly transmitted through our bones to our ears) and subtle symmetric facial flaws make immediate recognition difficult or even impossible.
so, my boy sends me porn in my email from time to time (like all good boys should). yesterday, though, i get a big suprise-a picture of a girl who looks just like me! i had to look at her 3 or 4 times just to make sure it wasn't me. what a strange feeling, staring at a face that you know is not your... you wrote this days ago and not one person has commented on your entry. Damn there is a lot of apathy out there. I for one like the idea of porn in the mail. I don't have a porn doppleganger but there is this armani model who has billboards up in my city from time to time and I swear I get calls for a month when I new one goes up asking me when I changed professions.
i was given "the unbearable lightness of being" by a ballet dancer i was sleeping with when i was 16. he said i reminded him of sabina. it is a novel of friendship, sex, and relationships, and provided to me a template of extra-marital affairs, and the complications that come with them. sabina was such a strong character, that i have since tried to pattern... i think its very interesting how things we are introduced to during our teens have such an effect on molding our adult person. if i was introduced to the things that i consider helped to create the person that i am now, i dont think i would think them a great deal. (how is that for syntax).
It's from a poem I wrote recently, the entire version of it will be in my journal in a day or so. Thanks I appreciate it. Your entry really got me thinking the imagery behind is very profound and subtle.
The poem is called "And The Sky Up Above Was Blue" I'lll send a copy of it to your email.
hopefully tomorrow i can get my naked and smiling picture up-have to see if my scanner will work with this computer.
had too much wine now, and it is raining- i love you all-
Sitting here, wishing on a cement floor
Just wishing that I had just something you wore
I'd put it on when I go lonely
Will you take off your dress and send it to me?
I miss your kissing and I miss your head
And a letter in your writing doesn't mean you're not dead
Run outside in the desert heat
Make your dress all... Read More
