i am reading a really excellent book right now-"the way we never were:american families and the nostalgia trap" by stephanie coontz. it is from a couple of years ago, but it is still really relevent. she does a fantastic job of tearing up the whole tradional family values track. she says everything i wish i had.

the best thing about my vacation with my family was that i got to read a helluva lot of good books to tune them out. rather successfully i might add. yay for reading aka capn og readmore!
