wow-mardi gras was wonderful, but very exhausting. i will be glad it is over for the next two weeks, but then i will be counting down again. we camped out lundi gras night to secure or space, and so got very little sleep. worth it though. i pity people who just vist the quarter during mardi gras-i would never want to come back. uptown, though, is a more family oriented, fun affair. friends of ours share our space every year and they have 4 kids, 2-6. it makes the parades that much more fun to see the wonderment on a two year olds face. next year, if anyone wants to hook up with us, please let us know several weeks in advance-mardi gras week is spent out of touch with the rest of the world. oh, and if anybody wants beads, send me you address. we have tons!
