I understand your situation as I have similar problems with my parents. Just remember each and every night as you kiss your kids goodnight, that you got the best part of the divorce and soon you'll be independant and you'll meet some one that understands and will support your decisions. I know, my husband was in a similar situation as yours when we met, almost to the letter.

Sorry you are going through this. Parents don't always express their love in ways that are comprehensible or sensible to us. They obviously love you and hate seeing you hurt and struggle but don't have the right approach or attitude to be helpful.

You have to take solace in the fact that you are a great father to your children. Channeling all the love and energy you have to provide for them will pay off tenfold. Wish I could give you a big hug and a cup of hot tea. It will be your year, I am sure of it. :hugs:

So what's going on? I've been moping waiting out the doldrums. I read a little bukowski poetry at BN tonight. Seemed to cheer me up a bit. Strange when you catch yourself chasing a nightmare experience. I should have proved to myself by now that just because I can learn to accept someone for who they are, doesn't mean they will be willing to do the same. What I mean is, if we aren't right for one another then no amount of one person's willingness to make it work is going to make it work. By all this I mean, I realized I was totally making a mistake chasing that girl from work. But something in hasn't seemed to want to let go of it.

Anyway, I think I'll sing the song you reminded us all about. It has this weird way of cheering me up.
