This morning I some how serendipitously stumbled upon something that made me realize that 5 years ago today, my very first set as a SuicideGirl went up on the front page! It is funny however, I had assumed I'd been here for waaay longer than that.. But the mind sure has a way of playing tricks!
Any way, in a moment of nostalgia and romanticized reminiscing here's a little scroll through memory lane!
My very first set, that didn't turn me pink, but that definitely got the ball rolling, Mind in the Gutter:
Next was my first real set, Karma, shot by @sean with the coaxing and support of @rambo. I was so exstatic to go up to LA and shoot with the real people from SuicideGirls.com ^_^
@Lorelei shot me at a shootfest not long after for the set Up The Wall.
Pop Up Trivia this location turned out to be the same location the show The Guild used as the headquarters for their made up version of Blizzard.
On The Floor, was shot by my dear love @Kemper, on the first trip I'd taken to meet and visit her, and eventually do my best to steal her heart!
Affection stealing having been a success, @Kemper and I went on to have @hildreth shoot our love filled multi, Lov. I can still remember how sweet her lip gloss tasted.
I was lucky enough to host @dwam and @p_mod during their USA road trip, and P-mod shot what ended up being one of my favorite sets of all time, Khaleesi. Even though I must admit I sometimes feel more like a Stark ;P Watching those cute frenchies getting covered with little cactus burs all evening was pretty adorable ^o^
I was lucky enough to squeeze in a quick stop to Ohio and shoot with @alissa while on quite an extensive road trip back east, we found ourselves a lovely little break in the stream behind her house and slithered in to shoot the set River Jak. The water area, we found out later, is a water moccasin breading ground. I found that both appropriate and charming.
Next in queue was a set shot by the lovely @dwam from her stay with me. She is such a delicate beauty., she is in my thoughts often.
The wonderful @Albertine and I payed homage to one of my favorite shows, and the man who will always be on my "list" in Fox
My latest set Garden Bird was done by the babely @waikiki on that same trip, while her and @albtertine stayed with me.
On the horizon, 3 weeks from now, Kemper and my last set together by @sawa, Last Lov, will be available to see.
And a few months after that the set that this gorgeous image is from, by @anemona, will be out.
Over the last 5 years it feels like so much has changed, but simultaneously I feel the same. I've collected quite a few tattoos, changed my hair like a madwoman, and I'd like to think that I've grown and become a better person. I've made some incredible friendships and connected with people all around the world. It's been a ball.
