Happy new year!
The wheel is turning. Last weekend I celebrated Kekri which is a traditional harvest festival marking the end of the agricultural season. I'm happy to have other pagans as friends - at times I'm able to celebrate with others instead of solitary practicing.
We visited old sacred places like a sacrificial stone and an ancient graveyard now growing juniper. And as the sun set it was time for the feast. Tremendous amounts of tasty food were eaten and some talented musicians played traditional songs and folk. The more you eat and drink in Kekri the better the next year will be - I guess I'll have a pretty good one
This time it was more like celebrating the holy day together and no rituals were made. Since we didn't all know each other very well it wouldn't have been comfortable enough I guess. And instead of rituals I miss the socials aspect of holidays - spending time with loved ones. I celebrate Chritsmas with my parents and relatives because of that. Before feting with them I am able to have a Yule of my own.

Today I've been organizing my stuff and missing people.
But mr. postman had a surprise for me!
Gifts! Pretty shiny stuff! Aesthetics!
Some lovely members had visited my wishlist and in the packages I found books and a DVD. <3

Wish there was more access to that in Canada, yet another reason I want to take off to europe.
