I really will fail in this blog re expressing things... but... I will try.
The photos aren't great as I refused to carry my DSLR half way around the globe and back.
3 planes to get to Zurich. 1 Valium LOL..... (only for the 12 hour leg)..... Arrived to my old old mates, (old band mate and his stellar Mrs!)... then train to Basel. What a PLACE !
The sound of music was in my face......
Gothic buildings ooooo!!!! Cobble stones. Hills. Stairs...
Ratthaus Basel - town hall / council hall.
The Rhine was clean here. I was considering jumping in for a float through town but my boob had words to say about that. details later in blog.
We were in Switzerland for their national day. LOL....... nothing like walking the streets drinking beer, shopping for fireworks....

THe train ride to Wacken \m/ - beer and chocolate for brekky.... I dubbed the beer feltch lesson and I failed at pronouncing the thing......
OMG wacken. What an experience..... I am currently trying to figure out money to return in the next 3 years..... I have never ever experienced such a good everything. good beer. great people. great music.... the sound engineering was second to none....Australia has a LOT to learn. during this festival I experienced NO pushing, shoving, aggro, (even in the mellow section of the mosh pit)......everyone were mates. Regardless of anything,,,,,, race, sex, sexuality, age, nationality, language barriers.....
And no one was sober..... well.... most weren't
It was here I experienced the fine medical system in Germany. My boob decided after one day in Basel to crack it. (I have a fucking open wound lump ulcer thing about the size of a 10c coin and it won't FUCK OFF!!!- has since been biopsied by RPH:surreal
. I was shoved in an ambulance from the Wacken grounds, sent to Itzehoe hospital, (little town 16km away)... - where all the staff had
'W.O.A - emergency dept" tee shirts.... LOL.... They were awesome..... The hospital was empty apart from a few Wacken injuires LOL..... fabulous up to date everything there.... just WHOA
Then a lady took myself and my cousin back, even though the ambos offered to.... we told them this lady was running her son to and from the festival and was happy to take us too ! AND she was at the first ever Wacken open air,..... AND she was going to see Saxon the next day. What a champ.... She wouldn't accept beer, money, chocolate, nothing.
