There's just not much to say when I'm unemployed. Here are a few perhaps slightly interesting highlights anyway:

-I may have sprained my thumb playing about ten hours of Xbox today.

-Portland is a fantastic town with awesome restaurants and a great fanaticism for the whole local/organic/sustainable ethos, but I can't find a grocery store or co-op that can even hold a candle to the Wedge. I have quite seriously been to every market in the metro area, and I am disappointed in every one. Sad.

-I have met a whole bunch of really cool people here, and I am consequently not going crazy without a job. It's good to be in a city where I can go drinking with MisterSatan on a Friday night and then threaten to stuff him in the back of a Mini Cooper with Mr. Smith if they don't stop doing sake shots.

-I really want a puppy. Portland seems like a puppy kind of town. I want to wait until I have a yard, though.

-I enjoyed the sunshine a little too much yesterday and got a sunburn in my cleavage. It's quite attractive.

Okay, that was a restful little diversion. Back to killing things on the Xbox.

Just really little things. Instead of sticking coal up Cameron's ass to make a diamond it's stuck in his fist. But it's just dubbed so badly that it makes me cringe.

ARRR!!!

What kind of store are you looking for? Have you tried Pasta Works or The City Market? I'm sure you've done the whole New Seasons and Whole Foods thing.
Before I moved into teaching I was a restaurant manager in town. If you need some ideas, let me know.
