One of my students was telling me about when her mom was on meth. She said, "She used to just scrub a stain out of the carpet for hours. She'd scrub until her hands bled. She'd scrub until I called the cops to make her stop." This is the part that made me almost cry: she said, "Yeah, once she got off meth, they diagnosed her with adult ADHD and put her on Aderol. Now she's exactly the same as she was when she was on meth, except it's legal."
