I've spent most of today in pajamas, which is honestly what Sundays are all about.
I finished reading Fortress of Solitude by Johnathan Lethem. It was very good. He's the only author I've read who can write an ending with no sort of resolution to it, yet still make it satisfying. Poorly resolved endings generally irk me.
I also started reading I Had Brain Surgery, What's Your Excuse? by Suzy Becker. My sister read it when she had her head cut open, and recommended it to me. It's interesting so far, but I'm only twenty pages in. I've always had some respect for memoir writers. I can hardly remember last week, let alone what I did every day for an entire year.
I've spent the past three hours watching a biographic documentary of Frank Lloyd Wright. Generally, Ken Burns bores me to tears, but this one was okay. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on Ken Burns; I'm just not all that interested in Baseball or the Civil War.
Now I've showered and dressed, and I'm making a buttered toast necklace. Then I'll do some scripting on my comic book before heading off to have dinner with a couple of old guys. Hopefully my partner on the comic will have some sketches knocked out soon. I'm excited to see his work.
Also, I've gotten all my hair cut off. Please point me in the direction of cute barrettes I can buy online. Thank you.
