Im sitting out side of my apartment having a beer and listening to country music. Its summer time here in Australia yet we havent really seen any sunshine as of late.
Anyways i got to thinking about relationships and how some work and some fall apart. Now for me i havent been in all that many relationships but i have leant a few things along the way in my 28years of this earth.
One of the main things i have witnessed in peoples relationships is you forget why you fell for the person in the beginning. You remember the first time you laid ones of that person or have your first conversation with them? You remember how you felt like time stood still. You looks into each others eyes and you knew there was something special about them. Its all the little smalls things that make you fall for someone. Its the little things that people forget when they finally start dating the person.They take the person for granted and live day by by expecting them to still be there in the morning and still have the same feelings for them.
Dont get me wrong , I know relationships have highs and lows but you gotta bring it back to the basics. Yes we grow older and things change but take a moment and think to your self when was the last time did the little things that made them date you to start with?
The little things are what makes a person. They are the cute things that make you think of them when your sitting at work or just before you lay your head down on the pillow at night. The first person you think of when you wake in the morning. They are the person that makes you check your cell phone for a txt or a facebook message the minute you wake up.
Also remember to try new things. Take dance lessons ... go to the theatre and catch a broadway show. Learn to do step outside your comfort zone. Relationships are about learning as well as remembering.
The little things in life are the sweetest and maybe if more people would remember the little things about each other then maybe ... just maybe people would stay together.
