I need advice from you guys

So as we know I am currently working and living and loving Sydney. I want to travel to other places while I am over here but not sure when.
Basically I was going to up and leave when the german broke my heart but I didn't want to loose my job and I needed to be around my friends at first. So then I decided to wait until my ex from home came over and we'd go together but as you know things aren't too friendly between us a la mo, and he is leaving Sydney this week, without moi.

I have been saving for a few weeks now and I can either try my hardest to get home next month for my sisters wedding (even though both my parents say it's a bad idea to do so and I should stay out here?!) Feeling loved....not! So do I spend my savings and go somewhere new in Aus on my own, or do I stay put in Syd until July when my contract at work runs out, meaning more money for fun travels and a good rep with my job which may lead to work in the future.

So quite literally, should I stay or should I go? I need help making this decision!
