A Moment Lost -

Like a moment that was lost busy doing something else
and thinking that the time was always there.
Looking back you seem to notice all the things you never saw
left to wonder why you never seemed to care.

In the hesitance of thought or the words you didn't say
Lay the emptiness of life you'll never know.
Then you're left to always wonder of the things you'll never have
and the love that never got the chance to grow.

So you quietly accept all the things that came before
and you hope for life to now begin anew.
But you'll always think again of the past you left behind
wishing that somehow they feel the same way too.
