heat from my head warms the pillow
i lay upon
mind spinning and eyes rolling
to the back of my skull
i wonder how we all got here
clenching the blankets like the edge of a cliff
i look for the closure in the jump off

interesting wording with "in the jump off" it's unique and simple in its presentation. However as an aesthetic qaulity the 2nd lines length compared to the rest of the lines is kind of hard to look at in a good light as much as it flows with the rest... not important but if it were my poetic expression I'd fix that length up with a different flow point closer to the rest of the lines.
