I too have felt drawn to the Southwest, although I would rather go to New Mexico. The only thing that keeps me from indulging in that fantasy is the fact that I would feel claustrophobic without the ocean border. You should visit! ps: I tried using Pier-1 in lieu of IKEA to un-fuck my life. It didn't help, but I have a set of orange tempered-glass tables. I'm not sure what the trade-off is there.
