Lines I Come Up With, But Are Too Chickenship To Use

I think I'm just gonna fill this in as they come to me. More as inspiration strikes!

Baby, you don't need me to tell you this...but you're hotter than a sack of lit briquettes down my pants.

Outrun The Sun
Unsung is playing in my car right now. I'm blasting across the highway at nitro+ speeds. I've heard that there's a theoretical limit that you can hit while travelling in sublight speeds where it feels as though you're floating. As you approach c, the speed of light, you lose mass and translate it directly into energy.

I'm not travelling that fast,...

Behold! Another test to see if my blog posts are doubling up. And speaking of doubles, Two Face was pretty awesome in the Dark Knight. Which leads to a brilliant segue...

THE DARK KNIGHT WAS AWESOME

...but let's face it; you already know that.

What strikes me is just how much that film has pulled in. It's jarring, to be honest. I mean, it's like...

Shit Doggie! I hope so too. Sometimes I see an eye or two twinkling, though. Like, lately.

This is a test. This is mostly testing whether or not my entries dobule up on peoples' pages, which would be kinda...well, not fun for either of us. This is only a test.

This was a test of my blog. The bloggers in your area are equipped with alphanumeric keyboards which allow for a range of inputs.
If this had been an actual blog...

Hi Vaux!
For some odd reason, your journal updates haven't shown up lately (I mean for months, not just the time you were, judging from your recent posts, on a SG hiatus) in the friend's journals-dedicated window, every time I was hitting the "display recent friend's blogs" button, while other friend's journals were showing as usual (a bug in SG coding?)... so I was under the impression you weren't updating...

You just reappeared on my "My SG" page, for some equally odd reason.... so I went back to your blog and read it backwards... lots of entries in a row...

As I stumbled on your March 19, 2008 entry, I felt an uncanny feeling of "wow! I could have written it myself, using the exact same words!"...

I'm at a point where I'm totally clueless about what to do. Not sure at all. I'm killing myself over work that I don't care about, and now I need time to cultivate work that I do give a shit for. How do I buy time? Where does it come from? I was gung-ho a while back for making my work work, but now...christ. I'm exhausted. It's hard to keep it up.

See, my life is project-goal oriented. I finish a project, the goal is reached. I can hit those goals pretty clean, too...especially when the clients are sweethearts.

But when they ain't? It's awful. The project takes forever and suddenly it saps my will to live. Terrible price to be paying for something like artwork, which should be a joy.

So right now, I'm sorta stuck with a bad client. The client just sucks. I won't get into the reasoning at all...there's no real point. But let's just say that they suck total dick (meant in an insulting manner). Hypothetically.

Moments like these, where I'm desperate, broke, feeling very lonely and incredibly run down...see, these are the moments that make me think that I should call it a day, pack it in and get a job somewhere else. I don't even give a shit, at this point. Peace Corps? Take me away. I'm no good here.

On the other hand, I know I can do well. Somehow, anyways. I know I can make books, I know I can produce powerful images...hell, they live in my head and in my sketchbooks. I just gotta nut up and make 'em. But god, the TIME...where the hell is the TIME...

Just so you know... you're not alone!

I envisioned this in about the most effeminate voice ever.

Don't judge me, it's just funnier that way. tongue

This is weird.... Now, on my "My SG" page, where it shows friends' recent journal entries, I see two copies of every one of your journal posts. shocked The magic that they worked has some side effects, it would seem.... confused

There's nothing like the smell of a bakery in the morning. The smell of sweet breads coming out of the oven, fresh and warm...it 's just a sheer delight. When the butter melts across the bread and the warmth in your hands is about to be turned into sweet tasting awesome,, it's just a moment where you're aware of nothing else but just how amazing...

Ah yes. The smell that makes me go spend money on food I don't need. Damn that fresh baked smell!

Also, you're alive, that's good.
hinata11:
Yes, I agree. It's definitely about the small things. 'It's' being something very important.

Had a crazy dream last night...had to do with helicopters, a suitcase full of money that me and two others were after, some girl that had been exploited at her job, and all manner of oddballness. I also remember there being some sort of weird altercation in the men's john too...frankly, sounds like a recipe for...well, a not-so-good film. Whatever. When I woke up, all...

That would be an interesting road trip.

noctua:
Well, the SF -> T.O. trip was:

California -> Nevada -> Utah -> Wyoming -> Nebraska -> Iowa -> Illinois -> Indiana -> Michigan -> Ontario

That was mostly along Interstate 80, with a detour in Michigan to cross over into Sarnia, rather than into Windsor, or Niagara Falls. (If I went Niagara Falls, I would've added Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York to my trip.)

All-in-all, it took about 5 days to get across, including stops every night, and you'll definitely want a companion. Switching off driving and having someone to talk to will make it easier, that's for sure. smile

Here's a site to map out which states you've visited: World 66

Screw Neruda all that quiet appreciation, skip right to Rimbaud!.
