Just came back from watching The Vagina Monologues, all done by young and mature women from the University of Reading.

I had a blast. Has anyone else seen it?

I hope to have a more significant ability to help women someday. I'm sure every penny helps (ticket proceeds all went to various women's shelters, charities and crisis centers) but it feels like it doesn't make up for those who would call themselves men and my brother.

Also, on Tuesday, I saw Cabaret. A brilliant musical. The 'emcee' character was IMHO the scene-stealer and right out of Jung's archetypes concerning the 'wise fool'. The actor who played him was incredible and seemed to be custom made for the role physically. He had quite a strong hooked nose and in his doll-like makeup, and bright red lipstick, he was like a strange puppet come to life. He brought this wonderful ability to be without gender WITHOUT being androgynous. Amazing.

I know you've all sent me long posts in my journal, and someone very special from among you has sent me a wonderful eMail blush . I'm pretty tired but I promise I will get back to you smile

EDIT: Whoops! Sorry I wasn't more specific. The Cabaret I saw was by the University's Drama Society, not the movie. And our version of Sarah Bowles was much much cuter than Liza Minelli biggrin
