I am reading Cosmic Trigger, which repeatedly explodes one's head.
Just before I wrote this entry, I finally saw End of Evangelion. It is a reconstruction of the last 2 episodes of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. These are episodes 25 and 26.
There are some very creative interpretations and use of Qabbalic concepts and the Sephiroth, the Tree of Life.
The action sequences are second to none. I've never wanted to pilot a large athropomorphic entity more in my life. The quality of animation is staggering. EVA-01 and EVA-02 are very cool. The EVA Production series are brilliantly designed and sickly sinister.
I am STILL unsatisfied with the ending, with the conclusions made. Shinji makes me want to choke the living shit out of him and makes me desire never to be so self-pitying and weak in spirit as his character is.
I always liked Rei and now I have come to love Asuka as well. Whereas Shinji had given in to his pain and pity, Asuka strove to overcome hers and succeeded. Even when all was lost, she never stopped fighting.
