12th to 14th August: flying to Vaxjo to see my Faerie Godmother.

18th to 22nd August: Flying to Tampere, Finland to reunite and catch up with one of my oldest friends Janne. He's known me since I was 15 years old. That's 11 years! He went to the same international school as me in Singapore. Man have we got stories. Picture my dorky old posse, flatulence, large hardcover books for 'tuning' and a large, silent library.
There's something special about still being friends with someone, actually getting older and they knew you, remembered you as an awkward dork fighting depression and acne and they still liked you warts and all.
Gosh, it's nice.

Sasha's airdrawndagger album is fan-fucking-tastic. I am particularly drawn to track 3 magnetic north and especially track 8 bloodlock. Good quality electronica.
Also, Aphex Twin's I care because you do album. Track 10 Alberto Balsalm. Brilliant and so simple. I love it when he does this light-hearted blip-boop music.

Currently in the middle of Cosmic Trigger by Robert Anton Wilson.
I cannot say it enough. He is my hero. He is one of the most important men of our time, both his generation and ours and generations beyond ours. Words fail me at how much he has...helped me to just be more awake, and feel passion for wanting to be a better human being and try and bring everyone I love with me.

Rome: Total War looks amazing. And with my new computer I'll actually be able to play it properlly. Took my a year to play Medieval on the full setting rather than Campaign map and auto calc with battles.
I am so jealous that you are doing so much travelling!! sounds like heaps of fun.. wish i could get away for awhile!
I agree it is so nice to have friends that you have known for years.. My best friend I have known for 11 years.. and he is the best!
I agree that song by Aphex Twin is amazing.. i lurve his stuff! .. i'm not that much of a fan of much electronic stuff anymore, only Aphex and FSOL.. !!
