Glad life is so happy for you right now.
Thank you for the compliment. I find it scary that so many people are telling me how I felt was bull shit. People are so lame sometimes!
I think Apocolypse Culture II is waaaaay better than the first one. And my friend is in it smile
siara:
YAH! That is soo cool that you are moving to London!! and even better that you have somewhere lined up to stay.. always makes it so much easier when you first arrive somewhere! i would love to go and live there for awhile, and I am planning on doing that as soon as I have my clothing company up and running! Have you been there before??

BTW.. you should see Vanilla Sky even if you don't like Tom Cruise.. it is an amazing movie.. really interesting and weird! I love any movies that make you think and question life after you leave.

I would love to see the hentai of Rei! especially if it is well drawn.. as I have seen some bad stuff! so i will send you an email through the contact button so you have my email address! smile that would be soo cool! Rei is so my favourite manga grrl.. she is just soo damn hot!! I haven't seen Iria from Iria:Zeiram but I will have to keep a look out!.. I'm not really into the hardcore stuff either.. there is some really horrible hentai with all the monster rape scenes and stuff.. I just like the well drawn sexy grrls kissing.. hehe!! wink I haven't heard of 'Mezzo Forte' either so thats another one I will have to check out!!

I have Ninja Scroll on video.. that movie is amazing.. there is a DVD box set that I think I am going to buy real soon which has Akira, Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell for only $40.. and all those movies are excellent so I have to buy it!!
Anyways.. glad that you are soo happy!! smile

Does anyone else here bleed for no apparent reason?

Hold on...perhaps this needs a little explanation. That question may appear odd without the appropriate context.

Basically over the last 2 months of my job and the week of freedom so far, I have often been surprised at finding superficial injuries that draw blood all over my body, sometimes in locations that defy memory and logic....

I bleed all the time from my nose for no reason. I wake up some nights covered in blood.

You'd be alright on a UK meet. Not everybody here is a boozer, just most of us smile We usually meet in a pub, move onto a restruant for a nosh up and then whoever fancies it heads off to a club. Plenty of time for conversation, drunken or otherwise.

There's plenty of varied bars and clubs for yhe music here. So finding either electronic or rock won't be a problem. Secrets of London eh? Can be arranged no problem. Pity that Gropecunte Lane in the East End no longer exists smile

Amazing how the little cuts tend to bleed more. Suprising that you never felt it though. Papercuts are the worst. Little blood, tiny wound and stings like hell.

I finally completed the second RPG I've ever actually completed. Phantasy Star IV.

The other is Neverwinter Nights.

I haven't yet completed Final Fantasy 7 and so out of principle, I never moved on to the others in the series after it.

I started Final Fantasy One, but it's so incredibly archaic and the music bugs the heck out of me.

Deus Ex has some...

Aye capn. I have returned from the abyss. I hope i dont go back. its a dark place.. *shudders*

I have beat most of the FF games. they rock, undoubtedly.
I think i like ffx the best. for PS2. Auron is one bad mo fo.

Deus ex. bought if for PC. dont really like it much though. Not enough action, too much sneeking. I sorta got burnt out on the sneaking games being obsessed with Metal Gear solid 1 and 2.

I always think that i should be doing something more constructive with my time than sit around jammin the games. What can i say, im an addict. smile

Yah Mace Griffin can get real cheesy at some points... fun overall. I'm sort of off and on too. Really it's FPShooters that hold my interest...and amen to Half Life 2!! can't wait, the first one was epic

University application process and Student Loan process going very smoothly. Nothing going wrong. Everything is good.

If I had anything to complain about it's the lack of a sex partner.

But even that can't get me down right now. Don't really think about it.

Artificial Intelligence is defined by the Principia Cybernetica website as: "A branch of computer science concerned with the programming of computers so that they exhibit apparently intelligent behaviour, e.g., the design of robots, chess playing automata & theorem proving machines. Branches of artificial intelligence are pattern recognition, problem solving, language processing and game playing."

Cybernetics has a much LARGER definition and one that I hope...

if you build something that passes the turing test i will buy you some falafel. mmm, falafel!

i tend to move a lot too. my mantra: you don't own stuff - it owns you. now go sell it or give it away. smile

synchronicity is good stuff...yes, yes it is.

i was wondering where you were but now i see that you left us with enough of yourself/words to keep us content until you return.

do you know sakita she's in sweden, too and just a doll of a chick. love her like a sister. you should check her out. thinking about you a lot lately. are you ok? but it's nothing negative that i've dreamt: it's always been you at a party or something festive like that. whatever that means. i just hope you're doing well.

Here I faithfully reproduce what I wrote in Pyewacket's journal because I think some of you might be interested:

You quote Oscar Wilde in nearly every journal you post, so I felt that I really must bring your attention to an independent comic writer by the name of Dave Sim. Along with his illustrator companion Gerhard, he has put out a series of large format...

I haven't been to Sweden for a long time.. I planned to come this summer, to meet a very good and dear friend of mine, who lives in Norberg.smile I'd love to see Stockholm again, as well. You sure have a respectable d'n'b record collection.. I wish I had that much of d'n'b music as well!! Do you like to dance to it too? 'Cause you mentioned you like dancing. I was such a shy dancer before as well.. Now it seems to be gone, luckily.smile I'm sorry to hear that thing between you & Linda didn't work out how you had wanted to.. *hug* No, I don't live in Helsinki, but a bit closer to Tampere.wink What was your friend studying there?

In a few days, I'll know where I've decided to go for University.

*******

I saw Bowling for Columbine. Really good movie. Really sad too. Michael Moore is a better director than he is a writer. I've got Stupid White Men and I really dislike some of his articles. I find them sloppy. The movie is really well done, and justifies the sense of humour...

Bowling For Columbine was a very insightful film.
I particularly liked the comparisons with other nations...especially Canada.

A friend of mine sent me the gif in my profile pic...it's only about 46Kb too, which is handy when there are storage restrictions.

thanx for the comments re my stolen bike - but you're preaching to the converted wink this is my 4th stolen bike in about seven years frown Personally I think the police saying a "gang" were involved is their way of saying they haven't got a clue...

and the bike was datatagged with transcievers in frame, fuel tank, underseat and rear tyre. microdotted as well, alarmed and labelled. it does seem like a pro job with a prepared flatbed/van but what pisses me off is that none of my neighbours saw/commented/whatever. natural reaction, tho,is to want to go and kill somebody smile mad

Hi,

I been busy.

The scoreboard so far for my University applications:

1st Choice: Edingburgh --> No mad
2nd Choice: Reading --> n/a
3rd Choice: Huddersfield --> n/a
4th Choice: Birmingham --> n/a
5th Choice: Bristol --> Yes biggrin
6th Choice: Sussex --> n/a

as you can see, a mixed start, though I've been feeling that not getting into my 1st choice may not be the end...

Hey, thanks man, your words are always a comfort. You kick ass.

No prob about the pic, was my pleasure..
I hope your friend is doin okay.

Hmm. If I were you, Id combine Philosophy with Cybernetics.. It would be quite a load, but at least you could someday be some cool ass professor of philosophy in a uni, then go home to a bunch of sweet computer gear and gain bank from sittin at home analyizing programs while listening to your music library. hahah.
later man.

Well I am a bit biased since one of my majors was Sociology. Hmmmm.. perhaps I did not mention that before. smile

Sorry to hear about your friend. In such situations there is so little that can be said. The presence and support of her friends is what she needs most.

Back to the schools.. sorry to hear about Edinburgh, but by not getting into your first choice the others may open up opportunities you had not considered. I have to agree with an earlier post that says Multimedia will land the jobs.. but that is a pretty concrete path to a job and you can always take Multimedia courses on the side or when you get out of school to get a job. The tech moves so fast that you would end up having to get some refresher when you got out of school anyway.

I do like the idea of the Cybernetics and your description is different than I would have anticipated. Personally I would steer clear of the Philosophy... dont' get me wrong I love it and took a fair share of courses in it when I was in school but I am just not sure if it is the best match with AI. But hey just my opinion for whatever it is worth.

I don't get such luxury's anymore. Now I am just a cubicle monkey in the corporate tech world.. happy that the tech downturn did not take my job with it!

Later,

Sean

On a sad note, about 16 hours ago, someone very dear and special to me living on the other side of the world in Canada where I can't be right now, was raped.

She has given me permission to tell you what happened as long as she remains anonymous.

She was drinking with some people she got to know when she first moved there and...

You are awesome. You did the right things. I will light a candle for her and do what I can. Also, THANK YOU for the warnings. It bothers me to see the "alcohol culture" that is thriving amongst young folks these days, not only here at SG but everywhere you look. I will never get in the way of someone's good time, but whatever happened to the concept of being responsible for your actions? I said it before, and I'll say it again - alcohol has ruined more lives over the centuries, directly and indirectly, than every illicit narcotic drug combined. It is a POISON, people. Respect it and use with extreme caution.

Anyway! I'm proud of you. Thanks. love kiss

Hello, I'm back. A little bit earlier, but out of a sense of duty and necessity.

Go to Son of SG CD Swap IV for further details if you were taking part.

There is only a week left...
