So yeah, I have been around since 2009. Actually, I haven't really felt old on this site until this last week. Maybe I am having an existential crisis but with older members leaving the site, friends leaving the site and an influx of newbies who are left to run amok without reading rules or paying the slightest attention to internet etiquette, it just seems like I am now part of the crowd that goes 'back when I joined'
Which is kinda sad really.
It is possible that I am missing my membership days, or possible that I am just missing the people I used to log on here to talk to (before they moved onto facebook and for the most part - DON'T EVER GET TO KNOW YOUR HEROES... well not that any of them were my heroes per say, but for some strange reason the whole facebook hangout made me realize how little I have in common with some people.)
Anyway, I had a point. Well, an almost point.
SG have this really cool sort function for the photo section where you can sort by year. So I have been looking back at the sets that were around when I joined, and feeling really nostalgic for days gone past.
On the awesome plus side, I have come across some of the sets which were incredibly inspiring for me in my first couple of months on the site.
So, flashback to the young and green Vassilis' (well, back then I was under the name Alais... but that is another story) inspiring sets.
Well, that little journey indeed made me feel better, although that was just a portion of it. So we might have to go into a part 2... but for now, I think I shall leave it there.
Of course it is great to live in the past, but I think I am ready to go back to checking out all the awesome sets in MR. At least some things don't really change.
