I have 2 dogs and the younger, bigger one decided to attack my 10 year old rat terrier. Now I am a licensed vet. tech. and had gotten her at the clinic I used to work at. Her mom came in for a c-section, and my little Saffron or Saffy, was the runt and didn't want to live. I had to give her a bit of help breathing. I got to dock her tail, spay her, and give her her famous smiley face tattoo in her ear. I was very close to her. She died 3 hours after I discovered her attacked and broken after the other dog got hold of her. Her lung was punctured and her pelvis was broken causing her to be down in the back or paralized. Her fang tooth was broken and falling out. I am so pissed cause there was so much I could have done to stop this from ever happening, but I also realize this is life and I can't do anything now. I am having her cremated and will have a customized stuffed animal in her likeness that I will add her ashes too. It sounds weird but I think I can deal this way. I miss her so much, I have no clue what to do without her........I haven't slept without her hardly a day in 9 years. It's hard to sleep without the help of sleeping pills. I guess a lot of people don't understand, but she couldn't have been more important to me if she were my own child. Here is a picture of my baby girl......
