What started out as a standard bike ride turned into a world of pain for some...Oh and it was so much fun.

Supposed bike ride along some bike paths around Melbourne. Around the 30km mark, the path went down the hill to the right. However on the left was a dirt track that dropped down to the river.

The group split up and four of us went left thinking once we got to the bottom it would meet up with the path. We were wrong. So, so wrong. With winter starting to set in there was mud, exposed rocks, tree roots and washed out track. It was to last 5km before we got to the path and the others.

Had an absolute ball going down. Brushed a tree, lost some skin and have a nice bruise kicking in on the outside of my left wrist. The track followed the river. Wasn't too easy as we had to climb due to the cliff faces. Yes I got off and pushed at a couple of points. Matt came off and stopped by cracking his head and shoulder against rocks and other obsticles that aren't designed for the human body. Spoke to him today and now cannot lift his left arm above his elbow.
