Brenda's Visit, Day 2: Friday's Festivities
Saturday, August 20, 3:00pm
We didn't do much on Friday before evening. Stitch came over and helped us clean up and get ready for the party. Wyspurr took the kids over to holierthancow and Shannon's so they could spend the night there. Brenda and I had a nice little scrog. I was pretty much slack ass and didn't help much with the preparations.
whorlwind showed up early and gave me a ride to the liquor store. When we got back Kid_Suicide was there waiting. Kid_Suicide got talked to bya cop who saw him drinking in the courtyard but the cop didn't press the issue. Frank showed up next and he actually got to stay most of the night which was cool. Wyspurr finally returned. IrishWunda showed up. geckogirl, stuzzy, KHRYPT1C, ChemericalMe, a girl whose name I can't remember, and Llona, who I was especially delighted to see, all came at once. Onie wasn't far behind and Lauren showed up a bit later with a couple of guys I didn't know. One guy, Shane, was pretty cool but I didn't even get the other guy's name. Shannon came too. BigBlack81 came home from work and joined in. I think that's everyone that came by. Everyone that came stayed at least a little while.
I think it went pretty well. Brenda had a good time and really enjoyed meeting our friends. So the most important objective of the evening was achieved. I think everyone else had a good time too. At least nobody seemed to have a bad time. Things stayed pretty tame for one of my parties but I'd pretty much figured on that. I didn't want Brenda to be overwhelmed.
I got to shoot a SuicideBoy set for Kid_Suicide. I was drunk and my room was a pretty shitty place to try to shoot in since I could only work from one angle and there was no lighting. So it was fun but nothing I'd brag about.
