Toilet Paper N' Munchies
Sometimes people do things that make me remember why not everyone sucks. I just walked down to the BP station down the street, where I picked up a roll of toilet paper, a bag of chips, a jar of salsa, and a 1 liter Coke. I got to the counter and pulled out my wallet. No debit card. No cash. I told the guy I needed to walk back to my apartment to get my card and he just shoved a totalled out reciept and a bag through the window slot and told me to pay it up when I got a chance. That saved me a lot of walking I didn't feel like doing.
Anyway, things are really good for the moment. It's only a little over a week until Brenda hops on a Greyhound bound for Atlanta. We're going to have a small party in her honor so that she can meet some of the awesome people we know here in Atlanta. BigBlack81 and I have finally managed to get our home network running somewhat reliably, which has afforded Wyspurr and I the opportunity to talk to Brenda at the same time, among other benefits. I love Yahoo Messenger's conference feature for that.
I'm actually starting to be a little productive again. Building steam back up. Gaining some ground on my endeavors. I'm hoping to get my nose to the grindstone today and really make some serious progress. I'm going to start by waking Destiny up at 6am so she can start getting adapted to having to get up early for school, which is only a week away. Then I'm going to work on finding a way to come up with money for her school supplies since we're totally fucking broke until the day after school starts (damned bi-weekly pay schedule).
