Florida Vacation Planning Stuff, Part 2
Okay, we have a bit clearer idea of what we're doing now. After we pay rent today, we're loading up the car and heading off to Valdosta. I expect we'll be leaving around 6pm, which I guess we'll put us in at Laputa's around 11pm. We'll hang out there a bit, let Wyspurr get some rest, then head back out so that we can pull into Mom's place in Inverness sometime early Saturday morning.
Saturday we'll spend hanging out with Mom and Jim, probably going out on their boat, and just relaxing. Hopefully relaxing. I'm getting really paranoid about the kids being in an area where alligators are common. I know that as long as they're watched and kept away from the water they should be fine, but I keep having nightmares of Rachael falling off the dock into the water and being attacked by an alligator. I always jump in the water between her and the gator, keeping her safe while Jim pulls her back on the dock, but I always get mangled by the beast.
On Sunday, we'll be leaving the kids with my mother to get spoiled rotten while Wyspurr and I venture to Lita's, which will be our main base of operations while in Florida. Though Brenda won't be off work until Wednesday, I aim to take the first chance I get to visit her at work.
There aren't any specific plans for the week. We're just going to take it easy and play it by ear and just enjoy being on vacation. Most of the point of choosing Florida as our vacation spot is to see Lita and Brenda. I'm sure with Orlando being close by we'll find plenty to do once we're there to occupy us when Lita and Brenda get sick of our company.
On Saturday of the 9th, I'd like to hit the House of Blues for the Art of Modern Rock exhibit. That's the only thing I know of that's going on in Orlando that's caught my attention. That will probably be the our last night in Florida, so I don't know for sure that's what we'll do, but it's definitely a strong possibility if nothing better comes up.
