29th Birthday Weekend, Hour 1
It's midnight, meaning Friday has officially begun. I'm popping open the first beer of my birthday weekend. For the next 72 hours I celebrate. I'm unfortunately wound quite tight right now, as I had a really rough day at work and the kids are being uncooperative and Wyspurris out taking Ocean and Stitch home. Hopefully, though, I'll soon be relaxing and will be able to really start enjoying myself.
Friday is mostly going to be a planning day. I'm going to spend the morning with the kids before they leave for North Carolina. I just found out that they're going to be gone a whole week...spending the weekend with their godfather, the rest of the time with their grandmother. I know Wyspurr and I can use the break, but I'm going to miss the hell out of them. Then in the afternoon I'll pick up my check, cash it, pay rent, and figure out what I have left for the weekend. Then Debra leaves for Asheville with the kids, leaving me on my own for eight to ten hours Friday night. I really hope I can find something to do or someone to keep me company. I don't want to be alone.
