Kids, Cash, and Cars

Well, I've slept up for the weekend. Dustin should be arriving in Atlanta shortly to celebrate his birthday. More likely than not I'll be stuck here with the kids who will be awake half the night because wyspurr put them down for long naps while I was sleeping. That really annoys me. I don't begrudge her for wanting to take a nap too but I'd have much rather her just wake me up so I could watch them and let them go to bed at a proper hour.

I need to get serious about job hunting on Monday. holierthancow will only be around to drive me into work at four in the morning for a few more weeks so I may have to put in my notice at work tomorrow. Not that I consider having to quit my job anything remotely tragic, as I absolutely loathe the hours, but money is going to be extremely tight without holierthancow chipping in anymore so I'll have to find something else immediately. It's not like we can put an ad in the paper for a new couchsurfer. If we don't manage to squeeze out a little extra income to catch up on being behind from Fantasm we could be heading for a financial clusterfuck.

On the up side it looks like we'll have a car again soon. Dad's got it in the shop and and it's supposed to be ready by Wednesday or Thursday and if all goes well he'll be bringing it down Friday. Of course, getting the tag and insurance and gas will be a whole new later of outcome that we just can't afford right now.
