Almost Silent Night

Thanks to Brenda loaning us money to cover the cable bill Debra and I were able to make a desperate last minute shopping bid to replace the missing gifts mentioned in my previous entry. We couldnt afford to replace them with the exact same thing, but we were able to find cheaper versions and we had just enough left over for Debra to get me something so Ill actually have something under the tree to be a surprise. My mom got me a lot of great stuff but since she forwarded the shipping receipts to me it kind of spoiled the surprise and I think surprise is the best part of having someone else buy you stuff.

Anyway, since recovering from the aggravation of the missing presents things have been going rather pleasingly. Things have been laid back and relaxing. Things feel just right. Big Kendra is in Florida for the holidays. Its nice to have the extra breathing room at home. If nothing else just not having to listen to Mark and Kendra bicker like a married couple is a relief.
