My Tooth Hurts Like Hell

Wyspurr and I spent the better part of yesterday overhauling the apartment. The centerpiece of our efforts was unburying the couch in the bedroom and rotating the computer desk in the living room ninety degrees counter-clockwise. This campaign of home rearrangement will continue today with moving the bedroom couch into the living room after removing the living room couch.

Once I was done reconnecting the computer from the dismantled state Id put it in to move the computer desk, katfireblade took me out to the Independent for a meet and greet with some burner folk off Tribe.net. I was a bit reluctant, as I was broke, tired, and I really didnt know anyone who would be there. Im glad I went, though, as I met some rather interesting whose company I really enjoyed. I look forward to hanging out with them again, though Im going to have to miss Novembers meet and greet because of the Cruxshadows show.

Chris C is coming down from Asheville this afternoon. Its been months since hes made it down this way. The kid will be thrilled and it will be nice to have Uncle Chris around to keep them occupied while Im moving furniture. Hopefully Ill be able to actually hang out with him a bit too. Weve become kind of distant since I moved to Atlanta.

On a side note, I saw one of those pass-around bulletins you see on Myspace.com all the time. This one was one where people added their own little tattoo related rant to the end. I was the 29th to add to the one I saw and this is what my little rant was:

I hate that tattoos have become something of a subculture unto themselves. One where people are judged on the quality and quantity of their tattoos. I'm starting to meet more and more artists who clearly think of themselves as rock stars. You can't swing a stick without hitting some tattoo snob that thinks having bitchin' sleeve pieces means that he is some authority on who is worthy of getting tattoos or not. I'm getting sick of people complaining about people who ask about their tattoos and all the other elitist bullshit that the "tattoo community" has become rife with.
