What is something you wish you known sooner? is the question asked by @missy @rambo and @lyxzen this past week.
I've write a bunch and missed the draft here. Well here I will try again.
Like always I don't do all blog homework but only the difficult ones, maybe I am using SG as a therapy space? Oh yeah.
1- Family is the people you choose.
I am from Brazil, so... Latin culture. We are raised to basically believe that family is everything even if does bad things with you or for you. It took me years of therapy and life to found out that family is the people you choose to be around and that you do good for them and they do good for you. Family is love, not prison.
2- Not everyone is obligated to like you and you are not obligated to like everyone. You are your own best friend and worse enemy.
We are on this life and path on our own journey and other people on their journey. Don't be a dick. Live your life. Follow your own ethics. Be happy. Pay no mind to the hate that doesn't affect you. You are your own compass.
3- We are all pretty.
Not the regular standard pretty. Not just the look on the mirror pretty. We are fucked up creatures, full of bad habits, bad choices, ugly sides, and the pretty on this is that we are here to live every minute living with it, be on your own skin, fearing, wanting, loving. No religion bullshit, we just are unique each and everyone. We are born naked and we put bad clothes on it. We born alone and we die alone, and thats not sad, thats perfect.
