It is basically a bunch of stories about how alot of important ideas came to be, and the people involved. What is really fascinating, is the great number of regular, not-so-genius types that kind of stumbled upon so many of the most profoud discoveries in astronomy, geology, chemistry, physics, etc.(and very often, those who discovered something are not really credited for it because they were just ahead of their time). Too bad I haven't discovered any revolutionary ideas about the nature of the universe. I guess I'm due for something pretty soon...
