So, on my way to work this morning I saw a Belgian Malinois just roaming around. They look like this, if you don't know. This isn't the same dog, just looks like it.
NOTE: This around 8.11, which meant I had 9 minutes to get coffee and go to work! But while I was ordering my coffee all I could think about was that damn dog roaming around by itself! I saw that it had a collar so I made up my mind to go back at get her. It took me about 5 minutes to relocate the dog, then she was sniffing around some people so I asked them in spanish if the dog was theirs they said no, boo! I was so thrilled that she had a collar with a tag and all the information. I called but no one answered so I left a message for th people. Meanwhile I was totally late for work, I work at an intermediate school. I asked the office staff if there was anywhere they would let me keep "Shelby" for the day, or until someone came and got her! FINALLY, two hours later I got a call while I was in class playing jeopardy with the kids, the owner called and said her husband would come and pick her up. Anyway..when the husband came he was very appreciative and happy to get her back. Apparently he takes her to work with him everyday because he doesn't like to leaver her home alone all day. Some how she had wandered off. Hopefully, if my dog, heaven forbid, ever wanders off someone will do the right thing. Of course, I know that is wishful thinking but still, I think wishful thinking is better than any thinking. So that was my good deed for the morning, my excitment of the day.
As for work, the kids are anxious for the year to be over, and let me just say, the teachers are too!
