Du Du Du Du Du DO du du duh duh duh... Journal update! 
Hello... I've just come back from a job interview in Wigan as 'Design Print manager' for a chemical firm. I did really well. i coped with all the questions, asked a few. Undersold myself on my projected salary (as usual). Although they still had a few applicants to see, they were really impressed with my portfolio, very glad to see my CV since they had outsourced my entire skills list to other design companies. Looks like I could save 'em a few bob, if they took me on! They reckoned I would be good managerial material and would fit right in! Technically, I would be an art director in the sales and marketing division of this company with a team of 5 staff designers working under me... It's not glamorous but at nearly double the wage I was on working at my last place, I really couldnt be happier!!!
Wooo.. gregs going to be *another* poncy art director!!! Wooo.. Team of FIVE!!
I suppose my ethics head would be kicking off at the thought of a former "protester" should be working for a chemical company.. Mmmmnnyeh, but this firm make cleaning fluid for typewriters and phone headsets.. Its hardly Kessnor Kellnor or Solway Interox... (polluting bastards). The way I see it, I may as well use the industry this part of the Uk is well known for and take 'em down from the inside!!
A bit of job stability would be VERY welcome at the moment! Wish me luck (and pray their decision on Friday lands me a good job!!!) Its been a bloody long time coming!!!
