Journal update..
I'm totally recovered from the friday jaunt down Liverpool Road. I went on a massive bender on saturday, which was immensely enjoyable. The saturday in Rockworld was the best night there I've probably had in about five years.
The tunes were good, the air conditioning was off.. Everyone sweated til they fell over or left (occasionally BOTH). Admittedly, very few took to the small dancefloor. I hardly left it... Getting approx 10 song requests played cut it.. I guess I'd summoned up some last reserve of strength left from my 50 odd mile cycle!! What DID sap the last of it was arriving home to find *yet again*, my home infiltrated by some 40 stoned metallers. I was extremely pissed up at this point and was rather rude to the ones sat in the garden. In hindsight, it was rather uncalled for. I wasn't best pleased to see them!
The weird thing is, its the lethargy which annoys me most about my sisters friends. They are very funny and quite intelligent, a good conversation in fact... I have no probs with the odd bit of MJ but my Mum, Dad and sister are/were stoners so, on mass, seeing them is comparable to having 40 duplicates of my immediate family.... Not MY idea of fun
To calm me down, til the party ended at 6am, I started to read my anthology of Celtic British myths and Legends. Its amazing how beautiful yet brutal the juxtaposition of the early British people was... Its an aspect of European heritage which is often overlooked, due to the efficiency of it's destruction which followed! I love this book. Never in a million years will I remember all the names and places. I was brought up as a Christian, although there's probably some miscontrution of the Gospel which condemns me into the firey furnaces for even being on this site, so sod it... Down I go! I just love to know how, for example, the current Christian calendar got some of its festivals and important dates. You could quite easily let it become an all consuming goal to learn all there is about pagan Europe... I think I'll just stick to a few books, thanks.. Im off to read some more... xxx
See you all soon!!
ps.. Massive hugs Cakemix,
Hope you liked the character sketches, I'll send you some full colour stuff soon!
