OOoooUrggggpl...! My aching muscles! Wow!... Ow! That really was a grueling bike ride. I feel such a wuss. It was only 24miles yesterday, 24 today... But I had to drag a change of clothes (my DMs and leathers) and enough to drink to last me. The beautiful but deceptive heat didn't help.. Its such a dull road as well. Once i'd arrived in Liverpool though it was straight onto that 'mersey rail' effort and up to waterloo to collect my mates and get changed.
The gig and venue were awesome. Loads of 'bombedout records' signings were playing so a good leeds crowd turned up. I also saw a few members of Vorhees, The mercy Suite (check favourites!) and my old mate from uni Heysi! I love Heysi, hes such a cheery genuinely nice guy. VERY talented bass player too. His side project band (made up of ex Astream, ex Dropnose) called the Sex maniacs were class.. very funny. They had an Irish tramp on lead vocals who was ACE
Blue Demon, the band we actually went to see, we'd missed by 20 mins, so we gathered em all up and had a bit of a jostle to the headliners. By then my aching muscles were screaming bad words at me! Im sooooo out of shape...
So, Im back home, my neck and arms are not only FLESH coloured... Theyre BURNT.. To a crisp.. My face is far from its hard earned 'sleep all day' palour... I don't know what to do to return it back to normal.. I spose I look healthy for a change!
Im about ready to collapse, so Im showered and fed, Im off to take advantage of my parents HUUUUUGE garden.. See you all on the bench, theres room for three more!!! Squeeze up!!!
