So the election came and went and this country did the right thing and elected Obama, the Dems for the majority of seats in the Senate and the House. Unfortunaly i cannot believe the amount of bullshit and plainly retarded statements from many of my fellow soldiers.

"He will turn the country to socialism, communism, etc...."

"He's trying to take our guns away by making it harder to get them...." Well isn't that a good thing? I would much rather have tougher and more restrictive laws concerning gun ownership then to have another high school shooting, sniper on the loose scenario, postal worker gone postal, you get the point.....

"He can't fix the economy, McCain would have done a better job..." Sure by supporting and keeping the failed policies that got us here in the first place.....

Also even though i'm not from Cali and i'm not gay, i am upset at the passing of Prop 8. That is just another reason i really dislike religion, i don't want anyone telling me or anyone else who the can or can't marry, it is no one business but mine and my partner. Church should have none, zero, null, saying on the making of laws in this or any country....
